Wolfmama’s Kitchen is an e-mag launched in early February 2013. We look at sustainability, ensuring food security for all, recipes that can be adapted for people of pooches, and features on dog care for enlightened owners.

Me? I love to cook and read cookbooks, and went for a class in France in 2006. I learned to cook alongside my father after my mother unexpectedly passed. Dad was a biochemist. Think not so much “Julie and Julia” as Jamie and Adam on “Mythbusters.”

The idea for the e-mag and the blog came about from one too many disturbing statistics about food insecurity, one too many disturbing reports of what’s been deemed as acceptable agriculture practices, and one too many stories about people losing beloved companions to treats manufactured in countries with no standards whatsoever or made at plants in the US in appalling conditions.

John Lennon wrote, “You may say I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one.” Please join me in dreaming in the day when everyone has access to healthy, sustainable food.
